You said: "I think I explained in my post why I consider it sad. Someone who passionately believed the same things I do, has changed his mind to something that I don’t think makes as much sense."

Now that's something I can understand. :D

You could ask him yourself at http://eqdj.wordpress.com/ You may dig some of the stuff he likes to think about anyway.

I'm not sure, Jamie. We weren't friends on a personal level, and I didn't pursue the issue. I can say that Junior seems a very rationally-motivated rather than feeling-motivated individual.

I'm just curious why Reformed Baptist and not something else? I realize that not everyone decides on a "flavor" based on the same questions. Not everyone shares the same criteria. I am more interested in how the educated individual chooses, not so much the "I hear voices and it/He said go there" crowd.

Junior and I have been in touch for a couple years. I provided him with several of the Kaiser articles back in 2005, I believe.

I contacted him recently about some additional articles and Kaiser's new book. Lo and behold, he couldn't find a Promise Theology church, read Graeme Goldsworthy and became a Reformed Baptist.

I'm curious where you got the news from? Has he said anything why he no longer believes in Promise Theology? Did he state why the change? What was he before? Very interesting.
